Gennaro Russo, 61, passed away on July 17, 2025.
He was born in Coliano, Italy and came over by boat at the age of 2 to the United States. Grew up in Lodi and later moved to Florham Park.
Gennaro was a hard worker from when he was young. Began working at Burger King when he was a teenager, was later a home improvements contractor, and finally had a long standing career of 35 years at UPS starting as a Package Car Driver and retired in the Feeder department as a Tractor Trailer driver.
Beloved husband of 37 years to Donna Russo and their children; daughter, Kristina and her husband Drew; son, Anthony Russo. Cherished Nono of Victoria and Valentina. Loving son & son-in-law of Emilio and Giuseppena Russo; Denis Regan and late mother-in-law Barbara Regan. Dear brother of Geraldine, Carmela, Maria, Antonio, Enzo, Joey and their late sister, Anna. Gennaro was also survived by his pet companion Harley, his brother-in-law Michael and wife Cindy Regan along with many more in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday, July 20th from 1-4pm. Funeral on Monday, July 21st, assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10:30am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
