Frank Rotella, 91, of Weymouth, MA, formerly of Toms River, NJ died peacefully on April 7, 2022.
Frank grew up in the Ironbound section of Newark and spent a majority of his youth at the family beverage company, Rotella Soda. He attended The College of Wooster in Ohio and after graduation, entered the Army. He was stationed in Orleans, France at the end of the Korean War.
Frank worked as a wine and liquor salesman for Flagstaff Liquor Company and eventually went to work as an admissions supervisor at the Meadowlands Racetrack. He retired to Toms River before moving to the Allerton House in Weymouth three years ago. Quickly becoming one of Allerton’s most popular residents, Frank enjoyed playing blackjack, live entertainment and the many friendships made with the residents and staff.
Frank is survived by his daughters Fran Rotella and Robyn Riddle, son-in-law Michael Riddle, his cousins and friends. Frank was predeceased by his former spouse Grace Rotella and his parents Anthony and Mary Rotella.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-7pm. Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by the interment at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
