Frank P. Orofino, 72, of Mt. Arlington, formerly of Montville, passed away on August 11, 2021. As a young man, Frank served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He studied at Montclair University, earning a degree in Business and Finance. Frank had a successful career as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Boiling Springs Saving Bank. In retirement, he found a love for substitute teaching and as a member of the Mount Arlington Elks Lodge.
Frank's energy filled a room with his bright smile and infectious laugh. He was always equipped with a joke and truly enjoyed the company of others. In his leisure time, he enjoyed singing karaoke, golfing, traveling, fishing, reading, gardening, and his misguided devotion to the Jets. He loved nothing more than his morning McDonald’s coffee, laughing with his children, cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines, babysitting his granddogs, and acting as a sous chef cooking with his wife. Frank was always helping others and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He is loved and will be missed by all.
Beloved husband of 49 years to Phyllis (Savia) Orofino. Devoted father of Frank Orofino, his wife Tricia, Adrienne Villani, her husband PJ, Philip Orofino and his wife Kim. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Tyler, Dylan, Isabella, PJ and Elaina. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Frank is pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Philomena.
