Francis P. Galka, “Frank”, 80, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 7, 2022.
Frank was born in Scranton, PA and was raised in Kearny, NJ before settling in East Hanover, NJ. He was a US Army Veteran and worked as a manager at UPS for 35 years. After retiring, Frank worked as a concession stand manager at Met Life Stadium for 10 years. Frank enjoyed hunting and fished, and was a big NY Giant fan. He loved to entertain members of the American Legion Post 390 as well. Frank was loved by all who new him. He lived his life to the fullest, with his favorite saying being “No Problem”.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Jeannine Galka. Devoted father of Stephen Galka, his wife Karen, Lynne Bain & her husband Joel. Proud grandfather of Matthew Galka, Samantha Bain & Hunter Bain. Loving brother of Rose Alfano, George Galka and his wife Kay. Also survived by his sister-in-law’s Maria Tomko and Nancy Schoenhoffer, his brother-in-law Donald Taggart, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Frank was pre-deceased by his parents Alexander & Genevieve, and his sisters Bernice Mleczko and Arlene Taggart.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Frank’s life at a memorial funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover on Saturday, February 4th at 11am.
