Francesco “Franco” Soldano, 85, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Franco was born in Limbadi, Pro Vibo Valenci, Italy on October 16, 1940. He was a Guardia Di Finanza for the Italian Government, prior to his arrival to the US in April of 1966, and then worked as an Industrial Machine Operator until his retirement. Franco enjoyed watching soccer, playing pool and Italian card games.
Loving brother of Antonietta Battista, her husband Carmen, Leo Soldano, his wife Judith, Grazia Ferraro, Ottavio Soldano and his wife Theresa. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Franco was pre-deceased by his parents Pasquale and Francesca (Contarese) Soldano, his sisters Frances Ippolito and Giovanna Monaco, and his brother Giuseppe Soldano.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc. 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday, March 15th from 1-4pm. Funeral on Monday, March 16th, assembling at the funeral home at 10:30am, followed by the committal prayers and entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover at 11:30am.
