Evelyn H. Kozlik (Nerwinski), 84, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2021.
Evelyn was very proud of her Polish Heritage and tried to speak Polish anytime she could. She was extremely happy that we had a Polish Pope and used to speak about him regularly.
If you asked her to play 500 Rummy Evelyn’s eyes lit up. Playing with her for hours while listening to Frank Sinatra will always be a wonderful memory. She also loved “go fish” and said nie mam żadnych (which means “don’t have any” in Polish) when someone asked her for a card.
Evelyn loved her family and was actively involved in scouting and school PTO when her children were young. She had many jobs to help the family, including Tony’s Bakery, Coleman's Tuxedos and Summit Bank where she met some of her closest friends.
Her favorite interest was baseball, she loved the NY Mets and watched every game! She also attended many minor league games and always enjoyed having a hot dog and a beer at the game.
Devoted mother of William L. Kozlik, his wife Catherine, Karen Kozlik and Kristen Armenti. Cherished grandmother of James and Kevin, Keri and Billy, Jessica and Brandi. Proud great-grandmother of Briella and Graeson. Dear sister of Cynthia Richards. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Boleslaw and her parents Charles and Sally.
