Elvin J Giordano

Elvin J. Giordano of Freehold, NJ passed away on February 27, 2021.  Elvin was born on July 18, 1928 in Orange, NJ to Michael and Anna Giordano.  Elvin was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years Ann Giordano (nee Casarola).  He is survived by his sisters Rita Neglio (late husband Frank) and Christine Spampinato and her husband Phil, his brother Michael and his wife Marie. Dear father of Laura Giordano, James Giordano and his husband William, and Elaine Scarnici and her husband Emilio and their two daughters well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Elvin attended West Orange HS and studied Insurance at Rutgers-Newark MFA. He also served in the U.S. Army in Stuttgart, Germany immediately after WWII where he drove a supply truck through-out Germany.  He worked as a salesman for Elmco Distributors / Metropolitan Stihl for 30 years and raised his family in East Hanover.  He enjoyed family vacations in Wildwood Crest.

Elvin enjoyed his senior years with Lorraine Davidson and his friends from The Villages.  He was a member of the Theater Club, taught kids in the after school program and enjoyed his bus trips to AC.

Elvin was a very kind-hearted and patience man who was well-liked by everyone.  He liked to make people laugh with a good story or a funny joke.  He loved to watch football, especially the NY Giants, and was a NY Yankees fan.  Hey, three blocks down!

Due to covid restrictions, the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
