Eleanor Ferrara, 93, of East Hanover, formerly of Irvington, passed away peacefully at her home on November 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Eleanor was loved by all, as her home was always open to family and friends. She had a contagious smile and a kind word for everyone. She celebrated her loved ones with beautifully prepared meals during each and every holiday. Eleanor built a devoted family, alongside her husband, Frank, whom she missed tremendously after his passing. Her memories will continue to bring joy to all who knew her.
Devoted mother of Nicholas Ferrara, his wife Kathleen, John Ferrara, his wife Maria, Joanne DeNunzio and her husband Tan. Cherished grandmother of Megan, Nicholas, Brian and Caitlyn Ann, Dana, Melissa, Angela, Christina and John, Kayla and Zachary. Proud great-grandmother of Findlay, Amelia and Wynne, Grayson and Cameron, River Ele, Liam, Abigail and Ashton, Aaron and Aiden, Ariana, Devin, Carlie and Mia, and Juliet. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eleanor was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Ferrara of 64 years, her parents John and Ann Famiglietti, and was the last surviving of 5 sisters.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday, December 5th from 4-7pm. Funeral on Saturday, December 6th, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
