Edmond Ledoux Obituary

Edmond P. Ledoux, Jr., 84, of Morris Plains, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, with his loving wife and friends by his side.

Ed was born and raised in Massachusetts.  He entered the Navy in 1958 where he specialized in armament control systems.  His post Navy career focused on the engineering of control and logic systems used in the forefront of portable computers.  He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his sons in scouting, camping and fishing.  Ed enjoyed both photography and crafting jewelry in both gold and silver.  He later extended his talents to the restoration and repair of antique fountain pens.  He was self-employed as an antiques dealer and was delighted to have his wife join him in his business upon her retirement.  They traveled America extensively in those years, driving cross country twice and visiting landmarks along the way.  Ed liked to “see America first”.  Throughout his life Ed made friends easily, helped people readily and was known for his kindness and easy-going manner.  His memory will be carried in the hearts of his friends and family for many years to come.

Beloved husband of Donna Ledoux.  Devoted father of Michael Ledoux and his wife Cari.  Cherished grandfather of Austin and Charolette.  Dear brother of Geraldine Ledoux, her husband David, Theodore Ledoux, his wife Marsha, Paul Ledoux and his partner LeeAnna.  Also survived by several nephews and friends.

Edmond was pre-deceased by his son Edmond Ledoux, III, and his parents Edmond Sr. and Maude Ledoux.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc, 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, February 18th from 4-7pm.
