Dr. Jan R. Soriano

Dr. Jan R. Soriano, 78, a loving father and brother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 3, 2026.

Jan leaves behind his loving children, adopted children, cherished grandchildren, and dear siblings.

A retired physician, Jan studied medicine in Mexico—a place that became very dear to his heart. A lifelong learner, he had a passion for knowledge that extended far beyond his profession. He found great joy in collecting antiques and curiosities. Jan had an unusual, one-of-a-kind sense of humor and was full of stories, ideas, and wisdom.  In his final days, Jan found great comfort in his faith in Jesus.

Above all, Jan was a deeply loving and proud father. He took great pride in teaching his children, sharing his knowledge and love of learning with them. Jan will be remembered for his brilliant mind, generosity, and loving heart. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jan’s name to the American Cancer Society.
