Dorothy Diane (Soy) Ziobro, 86, of Boonton, formerly of Lakewood and East Hanover passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025.
Dorothy, or as everyone called her Dottie, was born and raised in Avoca, Pennsylvania along with her 8 brothers and sisters. She was a graduate of Avoca High School.
Dottie lived her life for her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
She took great pride in meticulously keeping her home clean without a dust ball to be found. She never turned down a sweet treat or three. She loved her dogs which brought her constant comfort and joy.
Dottie enjoyed dancing, ice skating, cooking and sewing and shopping at her favorite store, Lord and Taylor. She especially loved dancing to her husband’s (Eddie Zee) accordion polkas.
Devoted mother of Donna M. Canose, her husband Joseph, Debbie DeChristopher and her husband Mark. Cherished grandmother of Alyssa, her husband Derek, and Danielle. Proud great-grandmother of Connor and Jack. Dear sister of John Soy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dottie was pre-deceased by her husband Edward” Eddie Zee” Ziobro of 58 years, her parents Stanley and Agnes, her brothers Joseph and Frank, and her sisters Mary, Margaret, Barbara, Helen and Theresa.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday, December 19th from 9:30am-11am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11:30am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
