Dorothy Pryzby Strand

Dorothy Pryzby Strand, 102, of Florham Park, NJ, died peacefully at home on February 24, 2022.  She was pre-deceased by her spouses Edward T Pryzby and Stanley Strand, and is survived by her sister, MaryAnn Brown, her children John Pryzby, Mary Keegan, Joan Milkavich, Thomas Pryzby, and Edward R. Pryzby, her grandchildren Mark Kim, Jean Burris, James E. Keegan, Michael Milkavich, Justin Pryzby, Rachel Pryzby, Benjamin Pryzby, and Jonathan Pryzby, a great-grandchild, Steffen Burris, step-children Ann Strand and Thomas Strand, step grandchildren Julie Hunter, Stephen Strand, Gregory Strand, and Theresa Strand and three step-great-grandchildren. 

Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a faithful member of Holy Family Church, Florham Park, NJ.

She lovingly crafted quilts in her senior years, one of which is proudly displayed at home.

Dorothy loved gardening, and the flowers and vegetables that it gave her family.  Lily of the Valley was one of her favorite springtime aromatics.

She led an ethical life, a tribute to her faith and an example for her children.

Dorothy was proud of her Polish heritage.  Polish was her first language and she drew energy from the labor of making the perfect babka and other Polish favorites.

She generously donated her time and resources to the Catholic Church and organizations that support those in need.

There will be no public viewing. A funeral Mass is being celebrated at 10am on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Holy Family Church, 35 Orchard Road, Florham Park.
