Devon Sosa

Devon Sosa, 20, of East Hanover, passed away on July 1, 2023.

Devon was a vibrant and cherished individual whose presence brought joy, laughter and love to everyone around him. Devon's fun personality always made him the center of any room he entered. He was currently enrolled at Lackawanna College where he was studying to receive his degree to be a Certified Counselor.  In his short life, Devon learned a lot about overcoming obstacles and the importance of giving back. He had a passion and dedication to helping young adults on their addiction journey and spent the last few years of his life doing just that. Devon loved his job as a Clinical Case Manager at Water Gap Wellness where he was able to mentor, support and guide young individuals in overcoming addiction. Devon's smile and laughter will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Devon was the cherished son of Tracy Sosa. Devoted brother of Gabriella and Owen Sosa. Loving nephew of Gayle Kinney and her husband John, Jennifer Cole and her husband Jeff, and Michael De Trolio.  Dear cousin of Madelin Kinney. Beloved grandson of David and Nancie De Trolio and Petra Sosa and Great-grandson of Florence De Trolio. Devon is also survived by Tracy's long term significant other Michael Johnson, Aunt Doris Freeman, Uncle Jacob Sosa, Aunt Stephanie Sosa-Kalter and their families as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Devon was pre-deceased by his father Ruben Sosa and his cousin Johnny Kinney.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Friday, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
