Debra A. Mirjah, 67, of Morris Township, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Devoted mother of Alexandra and Benjamin Mirjah. Dear sister of John Coppola and Beth Stecyna. Beloved partner of over 20 years to Mohammed Mlih. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Debra was predeceased by her parents Louis and Diane Coppola.
Debra Ann Mirjah, born on June 24, 1958, in Summit, New Jersey, spent her early childhood in Summit before moving to Florham Park, and later settled in Morris Township, New Jersey, where she raised her children and built a life centered on family and home.
Debra dedicated more than 40 years of her life to Hib Construction in Florham Park, where she worked as an office manager. But above all else, Debra was a devoted mother who found her greatest joy in her family. She loved spending time at the Jersey Shore, where many of her happiest memories were made. Quiet by nature, she had a dry and unmistakable sense of humor that those closest to her cherished.
Debra will be fondly remembered for the things that brought her joy and brought others together: her impressive miniature golf skills, her Bingo prowess, and her love of hosting. Her gatherings, especially the infamous “Mirjah Opens,” became treasured traditions filled with laughter and lasting memories. She was also a devoted fan of American Idol and loved starting her mornings with McDonald’s, a simple ritual that brought her comfort and routine.
Debra’s life was defined by her love and the special, thoughtful ways she connected with those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on May 7, 2026 from 4-7pm, including a family eulogy service at 4:30pm.
