Debi Guida, 63, of Florham Park, passed away on July 31, 2023, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Debi was a true people person and worked various jobs throughout her life. She was a hairdresser, waitress, caterer, and teacher’s assistant, to name a few. Though Debi excelled at any job she held, the career she was most proud of was being an amazing wife, mother, and sister. Her family meant the world to her and anyone who knew her, knew that about her.
Debi loved sun and fun and she spent her summers at the Jersey Shore since she was 19. She could always be found hanging on “The Deck” at her house in Belmar - sometimes she even left it to go to the beach! Debi never missed a sunset and made sure she took many pictures of each one on her phone. After the sun set, she’d wait for the moon to rise up out of the ocean.
When Debi wasn’t down the shore, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, watching Lifetime movies, doing puzzles, and shopping online. Like she would always say, “A day without Amazon is like a day without sunshine”.
Debi never missed a party, which was a great thing for all those around her since she was typically the life of everyone. She had a special way of lighting up a room with her humor, laugh, and smile. She’d strike up a (long) conversation with anyone she met and would usually find a way to make a connection to a mutual friend. It’s hard for her family members to go anywhere without someone asking, “Are you related to Debi?” followed up by “I love her, she’s the best!” It truly is the six degrees of Debi Guida.
Debi is survived by her husband Russell, children Michelle (Mike), Nicolle (Tim), and Steven, brothers Ted and Paul (Barb) Bahlman, nieces, nephews, and way too many friends to mention.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Frank and Lorraine Bahlman.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Saturday, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by the committal service and interment at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover at 11am.
