David M Shick

David M. Shick Sr., beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 at the age of 66. Born on September 16, 1959, in Latrobe, PA to Donald A. Shick Jr. and Frances E. Baker, David grew up with a deep love for family and friends.

David began his career in the engineering field. Being a single father, he later transitioned to the insurance field as an adjuster for many of the major providers. David had a passion for cars but also a passion for flying which led him to work part time for The Flying Tigers cargo airline along with flying medical transport patients. He was also a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the NRA. 

David met the love of his life, Diane (Lombardi) Shick, and they shared 23 wonderful years together. As a devoted husband and father, he cherished his family above all else. He was also a cat lover having many cats throughout his lifetime.

David touched the lives of many. He is predeceased by his sister Kimberlee Carson Cianciola-Pickard. He is survived by his wife, Diane; son Michael (partner Vivian Ritchie); grandson Nils; step-mother Royetta Shick and brother Donald A. Shick III (wife Anne).

All are invited to a celebration of life at on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 12-3pm at the Chimney Rock Inn, 750 10 West, Whippany, NJ 07981.
