Charles "Chaz" Esposito

Charles “Chaz” Esposito, 61, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully at his home in Budd Lake on August 7, 2023. 

Charley was a kind, loving, funny and devoted son, brother and uncle. His positive impact was felt on those around him, from the closest family and friends to complete strangers. Gestures such as caring for Mama, feeding a homeless man on the street or paying for a fellow shopper's groceries are just a few of many examples of his giving heart. Heaven has gained a true and faithful servant. 

Charles graduated from Bloomfield High School and attended Greater Works Bible Institute in Pittsburg, PA. He found joy in serving others and cooking, easily gaining the high praise of those who had the privilege to encounter him in these endeavors. 

Beloved husband of Lourdes Illa. Devoted brother of Peter Esposito, his wife Teresa, Jenny Malgieri, her husband Carmine, Walter Esposito, Anna Sikora and her husband Bernie. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was pre-deceased by his parents Charles and Rose Esposito. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday, August 10th from 4-8pm. Funeral on Friday, August 11th, assembling at the funeral home at 10:00am, followed by a service at the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936
