Catherine M. Alagna (Rosania), 82, formerly of Newark & Belleville, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022.
Known to those close to her as “Cathy Rose”, Cathy grew up an avid lover of music, teaching at Music City, being accepted into Julliard, and playing the accordion professionally.
In life, she followed her heart by putting her husband and family first. Cathy was a devoted daughter, wife and mother who cared for those close to her tremendously.
She enjoyed many things throughout her life, including her job driving for the Byram Bus Line, weekend regattas with her husband, Cosmo, as members of the Jefferson Sailing Club and hosting holidays for her family.
Devoted mother of Joyce Dolan and her husband Mark, Esther Conrad and her husband Steve, Margaret Maiorana and her husband Anthony, Cathy Ozden and her husband Brian. Cherished grandmother of Christina and Samantha, Stephanie and Stevie, Anthony and Salvatore, Bella and Brice. Dear Sister of Theresa Rosania and Frances Pepe. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cathy was pre-deceased by her husband Cosmo E. Alagna, Jr. and her parents Arthur and Margaret Rosania.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday from 1 – 5pm. Funeral on Monday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
