Carolyn (Farinella) Emposimato, 71, formerly of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024, with her loving daughter and son in-law by her side.
Carolyn was born and raised in the Vailsburg section of Newark where all of her Italian traditions and strong family bonds were derived. Carolyn was an avid cook, loved listening to music and had a strong affinity for animals leading her to her last career at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center. She had a heart of gold and a knack for making friends in every situation. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Devoted mother of Nicole Agresta and her husband Todd. Dear sister of Maria Elena Ferrazzano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her loving cat Zoe.
Carolyn was pre-deceased by her husband and best friend Michael Emposimato and her parents Enrico and Madeline Farinella.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 4-7pm. Funeral on Saturday, assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by a family Eulogy at 9:45am. The committal prayers and burial will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
