Carol Ann Alfano (Cassilli), 77, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol Ann was born in Newark N.J. and lived in East Hanover for almost 50 years. In her younger years she worked at Englehard Industries and Varityper Corporation. In her later years she devoted herself to Saint Rose of Lima Church by teaching CCD, working in the Early Childhood Center, working as the school secretary as well as a school bus driver and volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Parish Council. After leaving Saint Rose, she finished her working career at Fairleigh Dickenson University as the program manager for continuing education.
Carol Ann's favorite activity was visiting various casinos with her husband and vacationing at Wildwood Crest with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Beloved wife of 56 years to Frank Alfano. Devoted mother of Frank Alfano, Jr., his wife Tracy, Christina Albano, her husband David, Jessica Alfano and Anthony Paris. Cherished grandmother to Frankie III, Amelia, Maria and Michael, Antonetta, Robert and Gabriella, and Annabelle. Dear sister of Angelo Cassilli and his wife Gail and the late Carmella Cassilli. Beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Antoinette Cassilli. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, February 11th from 4-7pm. Funeral on Wednesday, February 12th, assembling at the funeral home at 10:15am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11:15am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
