Carol Scaglione (Valvano), 75, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023 with her family by her side.
Carol graduated from Belleville High School in 1966 and went on to earn a BA from Newark State (now Kean University).
Carol worked for many years in the insurance business and retired in 2013. She enjoyed being with her family and adored the time spent with her grandchildren. She and Ken traveled to Florida in the winter and loved when her family joined them.
Beloved wife of 53 years to Ken Scaglione. Devoted mother of Ken Scaglione, Jr., his wife Gilda, and Michael Scaglione. Cherished grandmother of Kenny, Eva and Joseph. Dear sister of Joseph Valvano, his wife Connie, Barbara Longo and her husband Gerald. Loving aunt of Jaime, Dina, Joseph, Kristine, Louis and Isabelle. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carol was pre-deceased by her parents Joseph and Yolanda Valvano.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday from 4-7pm. Funeral on Wednesday, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am.
