Carmela Rosati

Carmela Rosati (Sciarrillo), 88, long time resident of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2021.

Carmela was a loving caregiver to all of her children, her children's friends, family members and grandchildren.  No one left Carmela's house without eating at least one meal and, possibly, a snack.  Even when she was very sick, her first words when someone entered the house were, "Have something to eat".  She was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in East Hanover.  She was a member of the Rosary Society for many years.  She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her greatest love,' however, was her family. Her most joyous times were when all of her children,  grandchildren and great-grandchildren were gathered near her.  Her presence will truly be missed at all family gatherings. She will always be remembered.

Devoted mother of Liz Hower, her husband Bill, Larry Rosati, his wife Debby, Rich Rosati, his wife Valerie, Chris Rosati, his wife Karen, and Janet Rosati.  Cherished grandmother of Renee, Judd, Corrine and Shane, Aubrey, Blaise, Sawyer, Grainger and Harper, Jake and Faith, and Harry.  Proud great-grandmother of Ada, Deacon and Rio.  Dear sister of Nick Sciarrillo, Jo Petronella and Jerome Sciarrillo.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carmela is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Raymond S. Rosati, her parents, Peter and Angela Sciarrillo and her sister Victoria Torrisi.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 4-7pm.  The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, 9:45am at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
