Betsy Moran Obituary

Betsy B. Moran (Collin), 96, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Betsy was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her whole life caring for those who were blessed to be loved by her. Her favorite moments were spent in the company of her family at monthly get togethers to celebrate birthdays and she loved making holidays, especially Christmas, special for everyone. She was an enthusiastic fan at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and could be heard lending her voice and support from the bleachers. Her adventurous spirit encouraged a move of her young family to the Far East living in Japan and Singapore for 7 years as a result of a job relocation for her husband. She moved back to the US and took up residency in Florham Park, New Jersey where she lived for 49 years. She and her husband were avid travelers who enjoyed visiting all parts of the globe including an African safari, a trip down the Amazon and a ride through the Panama Canal to name just a few of her favorite destinations. She loved the Jersey Shore and spent many summers there with her family. Her unconditional love, quick wit and smile will be remembered by all who loved her.

Devoted mother of Scott C. Moran, his wife Vera, Glenn R. Moran, his wife Karla, Lisa B. Shupe and her husband Harry.  Cherished grandmother of Michele, Stephanie, Ashley and Ryan, Josh, Jess, Jake and Jenny, Collin and Zachary.  Proud great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Marilyn Hobbs.  Also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Betsy was pre-deceased by her husband Robert Moran of 61 years, her son Jeffrey Moran, and her parents Bernard and Elizabeth Collin.

The memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, July 28th from 4-6pm.
