Arleen P. McArdle (Fay), 83, of E. Hanover, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024.
Arleen was born in Newark, New Jersey. She grew up in the Vailsburg neighborhood of Newark and she attended Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth. She worked full time at the A&P corporate offices where she met her loving husband of 60 years, James. They raised their family in East Hanover, New Jersey. She went on to raising her family of three children while working part time for many years at Chase Bank. She was an active member of Holy Family parish in Florham Park, New Jersey for over 40 years. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home in East Hanover and at the Jersey Shore.
Devoted mother of Kevin McArdle, Brian McArdle, his wife Michelle, Heather Johnson and her husband Rick. Cherished grandmother of Brielle and Lindsey, Brighid, Logan and Aiden, and Caitlin. Dear sister of Mary Ellen Harris. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arleen was pre-deceased by her husband James McArdle of 60 years, her daughter-in-law Tracy McArdle and her parents John and Jean Fay.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday, September 13th from 4-7pm. Funeral on Saturday, assembling at the funeral home at 9am, followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover.
