Archie Salerno, 99, long-time resident of Florham Park, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2021.
Archie graduated from Seton Hall University and went on to become the Vice President of Human Relations at ITT until he retired at 65. During his 34 years of retirement Archie traveled the world with the love of his life. When he was home he spent his days raising his grandchildren, enjoying his great grandchildren, and driving Bess to Lord and Taylors, TJ Max, Marshalls, and wherever else her heart desired. No matter where they were out shopping, he always returned home by 12 noon for lunch.
Besides his family, his most treasured memory was moving to Florham Park 65 years ago and watching 3 generations of family come back to Florham Park to raise their families and surround him with love.
Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Mary Elizabeth (Bess) Salerno. Devoted father of Elaine Koester, her husband William, Joan Keyes, her husband George, Nancy Mulhall, her husband Mark, Mary Fran Lauer and her husband Scott.
