Antoinette Favale, age 103, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 surrounded by those she loved the most, her loving and beautiful family. Her tremendous life spanned more than a century. She witnessed history unfold before her eyes and created a life filled with extraordinary experiences and treasured moments that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on May 5, 1923, in Manhattan, New York, Antoinette was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Maria Favale. She was predeceased by many of her loved ones, most especially her beloved husband, Dominick Favale, whom she married on October 31, 1948; and whom she loved deeply and unconditionally throughout her life.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Antoinette had a caring heart and an unwavering commitment to her large family and made it her job to care for, raise and nurture each and every one of them. She appreciated life’s simple pleasures and took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home. She loved to cook, sew, crotchet, knit, always kept a tidy home and truly enjoyed bargain shopping! She found fulfillment in knowing her family was raised with her love, support and devotion.
Antoinette leaves behind a devoted and loving family. She is survived by her children: Frank and Vivian Favale; Maria and Louis Pinneri; JoAnn and Joseph Spanarelli; Joseph and Joann Favale; and Rosemarie and Patrick Deyo. Her legacy continues through her 21 grandchildren, Toni and Joe; Dominick and Kathy; Dominique and John; AnnMarie and Steve; Jaclyn and Christopher; Joseph and Keith; Jason and Mercedes; Christopher and Philip: John and Ashley; Nicole and Brian; and Brett. And her10 great-grandchildren, Mia and Joseph; Avery, Grayson and Vincent; Giacomo, Giorgiana, Carina and Salma; Hunter and one on the way. Each of whom she loved dearly and brought her immense pride and joy.
Antoinette’s life was a testament to resilience, and unconditional love. It was so full defined by commitment to her family. In her own words, she reflected on her journey simply and beautifully; “I had a very good life.”
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. A life truly blessed and so very well lived.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday, June 14th from 1-4pm. Funeral on Monday, June 15th, assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am. Entombment at St. John’s Cemetery in Queens, NY.
