Anthony J Fusco, Jr.

Anthony J. Fusco, Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022.

Some knew Tony as an Entertainer and others knew Tony as a prominent trial attorney throughout the state of New Jersey serving as a counsel for more than 40 years for the Fraternal Order of Police where he was responsible for conceptualizing and the creation of the first legal defense plan.

Tony established and grew a successful law practice with his dedicated and loyal partner Roy Macaluso which continues to thrive to this day.

Tony not only represented celebrities such as Mike Tyson but anyone in trouble because he believed that everyone regardless of status deserved a strong defense.

His passion for law prompted Tony to not only make a run for Congress in 2003 but also the NYC Marathon.

When his campaign came to an end, Tony's bigger than life personality and passion took him off the courtroom floor and onto the stage producing several Broadway plays as well as appearing in the theatre, and in film making history with headlines from star studded audiences seen in New York City’s Algonquin Hotel, The Oak Room, Tavern on the Green, NJ’s Performing Arts Center, and The World Famous Jazz Club- The Iridium where Tony appeared regularly. Card carrying member of Screen actors guild, Tony took great pleasure voting on academy award winning movies.

Throughout Tony's successes on the stage and the courtroom his finest and most proud accomplishment was his two kids AJ and Allyson.

Devoted father of Anthony J. Fusco III and Allyson J. Fusco.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anthony was pre-deceased by his parents Lee and Anthony J. Fusco, Sr., and his sister Marlene Ruvo.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday from 1 - 4pm. Funeral on Monday assembling at 10am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover and the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
