Anne Graziani

Anne Graziani, 100, passed away peacefully at her home in East Hanover, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, November 2, 2020, All Souls Day.  She had waged a valiant month’s long battle with coronavirus before succumbing to complications.  Anne is survived by three sons; Ernest, Dennis & Richard Graziani, a daughter Sandy Graziani, and a granddaughter Celine.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Ernest and 2 daughters; Cheryl & Cindy. 

Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Anne was a longtime resident of Short Hills, NJ from 1956 onward where she and her husband raised their family.  Anne quickly gained a reputation for her culinary talents and on most evenings her family table became host to friends and neighbors who had “just dropped by to say hello”.  She was an effortless hostess who made all feel as though they had been adopted for a few hours.  Always an early riser, Anne was never seen by anyone before being fully coiffed and stylishly dressed.  Though a very busy homemaker her all-consuming vocation was always on the care of her family. 

As a young women, Anne was recognized in her home county for record sales of War Bonds.  A supporter of the war effort she photographed in a local paper performing her duties as a “Rosie the Riveter” balanced on a wing of a WWII aircraft.  Having had brothers and other family members in the armed services during wartimes, Anne was an ardent lifetime supporter of Disabled American Veterans (DAV). 

Though having had a life that spanned a century means, of necessity, there are a few if any of her contemporaries remaining to remember her, she will be greatly missed and loved, and never forgotten by her children and extended family. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday from 10:30-11:30am followed by a prayer service at 11:30am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.
