Angelina Monti Obituary

Angelina C. Monti
April 20, 1934 – May 27, 2025

Angelina C. Monti, affectionately known as “Angie,” 91, a long-time resident of Madison, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025.

Born on April 20, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, Angie lived a life marked by generosity, service, and a deep love for her family and community. She had a fulfilling career as a paralegal with The Prudential Insurance Company, where she worked for over 40 years with dedication and pride.

Aunt Angie was a vibrant part of the Madison community. She was active with the Madison Senior Center, the Red Hat Ladies, and St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church. She also volunteered with the Madison YMCA and the Great Swamp Watershed Association. Her kindness, humor, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Though she never had children of her own, Angie was a devoted aunt to many. She cherished her role in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews—attending graduations, weddings, birthday parties, and holiday gatherings with joy and pride. She especially loved Christmas Eve dinners, where she delighted in the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes. Her annual Christmas gift—a pack of socks and a $50 bill—became a beloved tradition.

Angie had a sharp wit and a warm heart. Many will fondly remember her daily check-in emails, often sprinkled with jokes and inspirational quotes. She also had a passion for travel, particularly by train, and embraced life’s journeys with curiosity and enthusiasm.

She was the loving aunt of Anthony Pico, Charlie Pico, Edward Pico, Dominick Pico, Renee Owens, Carl Berte, and Christopher Berte. She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Angie was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Stella Monti; her sisters, Josephine Pico and Kathleen Berte; and her nephew, Saverio Berte.

Though she lived a full and meaningful 91 years, her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
