Angela Chen Kung

Angela Chen Kung, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 29, 2023. She was 81.

Born in 1942 and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, she came to America in 1966, seeking the American Dream for a better future. She earned a Master’s degree from St. John’s University and married in 1968, settling in Flushing, New York. She then opened her own business, Angeli Realty, and was operating two offices by 1986. Seeking new opportunities, she later became a Court Interpreter in 2000 and served the people of New York City until her retirement in 2015. She then took the time to travel, relax, and catch up on her favorite TV shows.

Incredibly confident, her outward personality and belief in self taught us to take risks and never be ashamed to be who you are. Many also remember her for her sense of humor, energetic dance moves and ability to bring energy into any space. She brought much into the world and we all miss her dearly.

Visitation will be at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., located at 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday, February 2nd from 4-7pm. The Funeral will follow on Friday, February 3rd, assembling at the funeral home at 11am, followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover at 12pm.
