Alfonso Del Sordi, 84, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on September 30, 2018. Al was born and raised in Newark prior to residing many years in Florham Park. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and worked many years as a Sargent for the Essec County Sheriff’s Department. Al was an active parishioner and usher at Holy Family Church and was a member of the Florham Park Knights of Columbus (4th Degree Knight), Florham Park American Legion, Florham Park/E.Hanover Elks Club and the E. Hanover Italian American Club.
Beloved husband of over 60 years to Norma Del Sordi (Bruno). Devoted father of Christopher Del Sordi, his wife Maribeth, Marisa Del Sordi, Teresa Mosca and her husband Vito. Cherished grandfather of Massimo, and Christopher Del Sordi, Francesco, Laura and Alfonso Mosca, Christopher and Cory Clement. Loving brother of John Del Sordi, His wife Rita, the late Robert Del Sordi and his wife Trudy. Dear brother-in-law of Enrico Bruno and Susanna Bruno. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by a mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
