Alba Napoliello Obituary

Alba Napoliello, 95, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026.

Born Albina Favorito on April 6, 1931, she was one of seven children and the second youngest in her family. The daughter of Rocco and Concetta Favorito, Alba was a proud first-generation Italian American after her parents immigrated from Naples, Italy. She was raised in Newark, New Jersey, where she formed deep roots and lifelong memories.

While attending Central High School, Alba met the love of her life, Ralph V. Napoliello. The two built a devoted life together grounded in family, tradition, and love.

Alba dedicated 35 years of service as a switchboard operator with Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. She was especially fond of her large extended family, many of whom lived along Norman Road in Newark for years. Family gatherings were central to her life, particularly during the holidays, where she cherished traditions like the Feast of the Seven Fishes at Christmas.

After retirement, Alba and Ralph moved to East Hanover, New Jersey, where she enjoyed bowling and spending time with her loved ones.

She was a devoted mother to Ralph Napoliello and his wife Mihri, and Diane Taylor. She was a cherished grandmother to Sara Grbic and Alexander Napoliello, Rachel Feinberg, Nathaniel Taylor, Matthew Taylor, and Scott Taylor, and a proud great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Alba was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph V. Napoliello; her parents, Rocco and Concetta Favorito; and her seven siblings, being the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Her life was a testament to the strength of family, tradition, and enduring love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
