Waneta Mascia, 88, Born in Newark and long-time resident of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2020.  Waneta worked with Celanese Corporation for many years before retiring. Lenny and Waneta were long-time members of Casa Italiana and spent many years involved in the community. The love of travel with her husband took them around the world from Alaska to Egypt. She equally enjoyed being home just cooking, baking and spending time with those she held dear. To them, she will be remembered for her fun-loving personality and zest for life, her kind and caring nature and warmth.

Beloved wife of 47 years to Leonard Mascia.  Devoted mother of Rick Matarazzo and his wife Shari.  Loving grandmother of Jesse and Derek.  Dear sister of Doris Fabiano, Diane Lescota, and the lates Joseph Lone, Rose Bialecki and Gloria Ranko.  Also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave, Florham Park on Friday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Saturday assembling at the funeral home at 9am followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
