Sabino Robert Alviggi, 'Bob', 83, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2024. Born in Newark on July 1st, 1940, Sabino was the son of Sabino Alviggi and Fortuna Penza. Sabino was the devoted husband of and is survived by his wife Diana Alviggi of 61 years. Sabino is predeceased by his eldest son, Robert 'Bobby' Alviggi, and his sister Janet Ciccolini. He is survived by his son Christopher, his wife Linda, and his children, Alexis and Nicholas; his son Paul, his wife Danielle, and his daughter Rafaela; and his grandson Ryan.
Sabino is an alumni of Barringer High School and Newark State University, where he received his master's degree in Education. Sabino's professional life spanned many years, beginning as a teacher helping youth to find their career and ending as a consultant for Slade Elevator. He had a very long, illustrious career and worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family. Sabino was a resident of Fairfield and Essex County for 46 years. Sabino established a trust to honor the memory of his son Bobby and his passion for cooking which will continue in perpetuity.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave, Florham Park on Friday January 19th, 2024 from 11-2pm, including a prayer service and a Eulogy beginning at 1:45pm. A Repast will immediately follow.
