S. Bleecker Totten, 96, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026. He is survived by his sister, Dale Stannard of British Columbia, as well as nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Totten; his beloved wife of 68 years, Alice "Bebe" Reid Totten; and his son, Lance Reid Totten.

Bleecker graduated from Ramsey High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oglethorpe University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Following his education, he answered the call to serve his country as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. Throughout his life, he remained committed to service, leadership, and professional excellence.

A highly respected commercial real estate executive, Bleecker enjoyed a distinguished career spanning several decades in New York and New Jersey. He held numerous principal and corporate officer positions, specializing in major commercial transactions and national accounts. Among his many accomplishments, he served in leadership roles within the Global Real Estate Department of McGraw-Hill and as Senior Vice President of Real Estate Services at CBRE/CB Richard Ellis. Known for his integrity, expertise, and ability to build lasting relationships, he earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bleecker was engaged in civic and community life. He was a member of the New York State Bar Association, BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), and held a New York State real estate license. He generously shared his time and talents through service on several nonprofit boards, including The International Center in New York and Learning Ally (formerly Readers for the Blind & Dyslexic).

Bleecker embraced life with enthusiasm and wonder. His love of the "four winds and seven seas" carried him to destinations across the globe, where he collected unforgettable experiences and stories that he delighted in sharing with family and friends. He was equally passionate about good food, fine wine, and camaraderie. These interests led him to the Chaine des Rôtisseurs, the prestigious International Association of Gastronomy, where he proudly served as Bailli of the Montclair Chapter. Whether around a dinner table, on a distant journey, or among lifelong friends, Bleecker found joy in bringing people together.

Interment will be held privately.

A Celebration of Life and a light lunch will be held on August 4, 2026, from 3:00 - 6:00pm, at the Brooklake Country Club (The Brook Room), 139 Brooklake Road, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
