Roy S Harder

Roy S. Harder, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Roy and his wife (Gloria) reside in Florham Park, NJ, previously a long-time resident in Verona, NJ.

He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged receiving the National Defense Service medal and Good Conduct medal.  He worked 37 years as a postman with the U.S. Postal Office in Montclair, NJ.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of 62 yrs. to Gloria Harder (Inzilla).  Devoted father of his daughter, Debra Barone (husband Steve Barone) and his son, Glenn Harder.  Cherished grandfather ("Poppy") of Stephen Barone.  Loving brother-in-law of Rosemarie Lenhart, John Inzilla, (Donna), and Beatrice Inzilla.  Dear cousin of Carl Geck (Geraldine), Ronald Geck (Donna).  Roy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Roy was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Clara Harder, his sister, Adele Harder, sister-in-law, Linda Gaudiosi-Inzilla and his brother-in-law, Charles Lenhart.

 Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Thursday, August 27th from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Friday, August 28th, assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
