Rosemarie Foley, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully at her home on March 11, 2022.
Originally from Piermont, New York, Rosemarie attended Good Counsel College to study English and then received her Master's Degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz. She taught elementary school for many years before marrying and having children. She and her family settled and remained in Florham Park, NJ since 1970.
Devoted mother of William Foley, Jr. (Karen), Rosemarie J. Foley (JT), Eileen Foley and Martha Foley, PhD. She was a proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and always enjoyed hosting holidays at her home with her whole family around her.
Rosemarie was pre-deceased by her husband William Foley, Sr., her parents Rocco & Rose Memmolo and her brother John Memmolo.
An avid gardener, she devoted 50 years to the Florham Park Garden Club, of which she was club President for over 20 years. In the 1970s, she was President of the PTA and enjoyed being part of the town Welcome Wagon. A lifelong adventurous traveler, she could boast of having traveled to over 25 countries, and was always keen to visit new lands. She enjoyed interior decorating, taking karate classes, and being very active in her church.
In July 3, 1978, The Star Ledger featured Rosemarie in a feature article for hosting a Vietnamese meal at her home.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral on Saturday assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 9:45am. Repast to immediately follow funeral mass. The burial will be held privately to the family.
