Richard J
Falcone
d. Mar 19, 2023
Richard Joseph Falcone, "Richie", 83, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on St. Joseph's Day, March 19, 2023.
Richie was well loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a kind and caring person, always putting his family and others first. He would go out of his way to help anyone and was always there to provide support and comfort to those he knew.
Richie had a quiet and unassuming manner. He was a gentleman, a gentle man, and he always appreciated a good time. While he endured many years of serious health issues, he never complained or called attention to his discomfort. Richie was a devoted husband to his wife, Caryle, for 54 years. He was also a loving father to Melissa Falcone and Tracy and her husband Jeff Goldberg who were the light of his life. Richie was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, Justin, Cameron, and Grace Stevie Goldberg, and Lexi Rose Falcone.
Richie worked for Consolidated Freightways where he served as a union steward for his fellow employees for many years. In his retirement, he enjoyed working as a ranger at the Knoll Golf Club in Parsippany. He loved the beach and boating and enjoyed many summers at the Jersey Shore with family and friends. In addition to his loving wife, daughters, and grandchildren, he leaves behind his beloved friends of more than 60 years and his breakfast buddies, with whom he could be found on a daily basis discussing current events and sharing stories about the "good old days". Their ongoing friendship brought him great joy.
The family is grateful for the love and support they have received from cherished family and friends during this difficult time.
Richie is predeceased by his brother, Joe, and sisters, Angie and Josie. He is survived by his brothers-in-law David (Sandra) and Joe (Dolores), and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. He loved them all dearly.
