Ralph William
Palmieri
d. Mar 10, 2021
Ralph William Palmieri, 64, born and raised in Ridgefield and resident of East Hanover, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021. Ralph worked many years with Sanofi Pharmaceutical (previously Genzyme and Biomatrix). He was a devoted sports fan of the Yankees, the Devils, and the Giants, as well as an enthusiastic soccer coach for his children for many years. He loved Star Trek and SciFi films. Even though he mustered through his allergies, he loved his pets, including the three cats (Ella, Simba, and Winston), which we always told him we found in the backyard. He especially loved his dog, Auggie. Ralph enjoyed visits to Disney World and amusements parks and was always equipped with an array of movie quotes and references. If you were lucky enough to know Ralph, you were lucky enough to enjoy one of his meals; he loved listening to music while he cooked. He always put special consideration into his food orders. Ralph spent many years traveling domestically and internationally, including Yellowstone, Nevada, Arizona, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Canada, Mexico, and many other destinations.
Ralph was a beloved husband of Gayle E. (Bacci) Palmieri and a devoted father of Lauren, Stephanie, and Daniel Palmieri. He was a dear brother of Mary Ann Quinlan and Barbara Jousse. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Francis Palmieri, and is survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be hosted at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, March 16 from 11 am – 12pm. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Capacity limitations are in place.
Throughout his life, Ralph volunteered for KidSafe Record Checks in Neptune, NJ—an organization designed to protect children from abuse. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the KidSafe Foundation via the GoFundMe listed below:
