Philip W. Mastrandrea, 95, a resident of Florham Park passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 26, 1931 to Michael and Rosa (Tullo) Mastrandrea, he grew up in Brooklyn, New York.

After graduating high school he served in the United States Air Force until 1955. That same year, he returned home and met Rosalie.  It was love at first sight for him. They were married in 1958 and together they raised their three children. Philip went on to Pace University to study accounting.  With the support of his wife he went to school at night almost 7 years while working full time and being a dedicated husband and father. He became a CPA in 1965 in the state of New York. After working for different firms, he decided to start his own firm in NYC: Mastrandrea, Haase and Cascione. Eventually Phil became a sole proprietor and moved to New Jersey where he practiced as a CPA until 2026.

He was loved and tremendously respected by his colleagues and clients. He was an astute businessman and that, coupled with his incredible tax and estate knowledge, sense of humor and patience with his clients, made him a successful trusted CPA and advisor.

Phil will be remembered for his authentic and honest care he gave his clients, his love of baseball and opera, his generous and loving heart for all, especially his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Beloved husband of almost 68 years to Rosalie (Passaro) Mastrandrea.  Devoted father of Robert Mastrandrea, Lynn Paragano, her husband James, and the late Philip Mastrandrea.  Cherished grandfather of Michael, Gregory and his wife Michelle, Arianna and her husband Phill, Paige and her husband Michael, Sydney and her husband Fraser, and proud great-grandfather of Zachary, Nolan and Palmer.  Also survived by his sister-in-law Fran, brother-in-law Wayne and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by all five of his siblings (Vito, Teresa, Mary, Richard and Alexander) and his beloved son Philip, who perished in the 9/11 attacks of 2001.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday, August 18th from 4-7pm.  Funeral on Wednesday, August 19th, assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church at 10:30am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
