Peter A. Verniero died peacefully on June 21, 2020, in Montville, NJ.  He was five months shy of his 90th birthday.  A graduate of Central High School in Newark, he was an electrician by trade and longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After serving as a line worker, he eventually became vice president and general superintendent of an electrical contractor company and supervised major public works projects.

He served as an usher for many years at St. Pius X Church in Montville.  He enjoyed playing cards and Monopoly, especially with his grandchildren, eating hotdogs and watching his favorite football team, the NY Giants.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, and their three children, Marlene, Peter, and John, and his two beloved grandchildren, Jennifer and Madeline. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law, Lisa and Maria, and his son-in-law, John.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
