Patricia D
Kannaley
d. Feb 23, 2026
Patricia D. Kannaley, aged 89, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, on July 1, 1936, to Martha and John Patz, Patricia was a graduate of St. Michael's High School. She pursued a professional career with the Prudential Insurance Company, ADP, and Seton Hall University, while devoting herself to raising her family. In September 1955, she married her husband, Edward Patrick Kannaley, with whom she shared a fulfilling and loving life.
Patricia was an enthusiastic reader, often completing one book per day or, more typically, two to three per week, accompanied by classical music. Together with her husband Edward, she traveled extensively across the United States—from the Grand Canyon to the Washington Monument and Plymouth Rock—and explored her Irish heritage, as well as numerous destinations throughout Europe. As a member of the Seton Hall choir, she had the privilege of performing at the Vatican in the presence of Pope John Paul II.
She is survived by her children: Jay (and his wife Flavia), Eddie (and his wife Jean), Jean (and her husband Karl), and Maureen (and her husband John); and by her grandchildren: Larissa, Bianca, Daniel, Patrick, and John.
Patricia will be reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband Edward, her grandson Stephen, and many dear relatives and friends.
