Michael Cox, 66, of Hartly, DE passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

Michael (Mike) was born on July 12, 1958. He graduated from Dover, DE High School in 1976. After high school, Mike went on to work at Dover Auto Parts for years. It was at this time he met Sheryl Eastty and they later married and moved to New Jersey where he resided for 20+ years. In New Jersey he furthered his career as a master carpenter and welcomed his only child, his son, Jordan Michael Cox.

Mike loved anything with a motor, could fix or build anything and passed that passion on to his son. Mike had many great qualities that will continue to live on in Jordan.

They would have weekend excursions including off-roading in Jeeps, camping, dirt biking, fishing, boating, skiing, ice hockey and many other fun adventures throughout the East Coast. Throughout these adventures, Mike formed many life-long friends who he continued to keep in touch with.

Mike later returned home to Delaware, to assist his mother with the family property.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Gertrude Cox, along with his beloved dog side-kicks Coal and Nugget. Mike was survived by his former wife Sheryl, and their son Jordan and daughter-in-law Erin Cox and his grand dog Finn, his sister, Cheryl and her husband Kenny Silves. His niece Aurora and his nephew Adam.
