Obituary

Louis A. Mazzarella, 94, of East Hanover and formerly Newark, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021.  Louis was  US Army Veteran during WWII, owned and operated Mazzco Appliance Service in East Hanover for 50 years, and taught at Lincoln Technical School for many years.  He enjoyed dancing, bowling, horse racing and spending quality time with his family.

Devoted father of Bernadette DiCapua, her late husband Richard, Dianne Trapasso and her husband Thomas.  Cherished grandfather of John Emmons, Dawn Emmons, Dana Bannon, her husband Joe, Diandra Trapasso, Gregory Mazzarella, Jr., his wife Lori, Patrice Mazzarella, Joseph Louis Mazzarella and his wife Lauren.  Proud great-grandfather of Deonna, Demi, Daniella, Thomas Joseph, Gianna and Sloane.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Louis was pre-deceased by his wife Anne of 61 years, his son Gregory, his parents Prisco and Margaret, and was the last surviving of 6 siblings.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, NJ on Thursday from 10-11am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11:30am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. (Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Please note that capacity limitations are in place.)
