Leonard "Lenny" LaPlaca of Florham Park passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Karen LaPlaca.  Devoted father of Joseph LaPlaca, his wife Candace, Tana LaPlaca and her husband David Gillespie.

Born in New York City, Lenny spent the first 14 years of his life living in Brooklyn before moving to Orange NJ with his parents.  He graduated Seton Hall Prep, Villanova University and ultimately received his MBA from Seton Hall University.  As a lifelong learner, he attended Adult Education classes at Fairleigh Dickenson University.  He took great pride in both his own education and the education of his children.

Lenny excelled in a career in sales at multiple companies while simultaneously managing his own small business.  Lenny enjoyed being active as a lifelong swimmer, enjoyed attending sporting events such as New York Knicks Basketball Games, College Football at Villanova University, and at Fairleigh Dickenson University.  His greatest enjoyment though was spending quality time with his family.

Naturally good-natured and with an unwavering positive outlook on life, Lenny was well liked by all those who knew him.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church in Florham Park on May 11th at 11:00am
