Judith A. Lupo (Casale), 79, of Maplewood, NJ, passed away on August 20, 2022 after a battle with cancer.

Judith was born and raised in Newark, NJ until she moved to Maplewood where her children were raised. She was a graduate of Newark State Teachers College, whose greatest passion was teaching elementary education at Peshine Avenue School in Newark, until her retirement. Her biggest joy was meeting her former students as adults who never forgot her lessons or classroom. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, family, and friends.

She was a devoted mother of John Lupo, Jr. his wife Deborah Lupo, and Geralanne Maglione and partner Michael. Judith was an especially cherished grandmother of John Lupo, III, Gina Lupo, and Neva Maglione. Dear sister of Anthony Casale and his wife Joann as well as nephew Gene, niece Lisa and nephew, Anthony Joseph. Judith was pre-deceased by her husband John Lupo Sr. and sister Grace DelPreore.

At home, Judith enjoyed making her favorite Italian specialties for her family. She was a generous soul and active in her church communities. She was known by her family and friends for being small but mighty.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph's RC Church in Maplewood on Tuesday at 11am.
