Joseph Manuel Mourino, 86, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021.  Joseph was born and raised in Newark before moving to Nutley and then East Hanover in 1976.  He was a graduate of Central High School, Newark, Class of 1952. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, before being honorably discharged.  Joe worked as a Senior Machine Designer and Consultant with Nabisco for over 30 years, designing many machines, including those that make Oreo Cookies, Shredded Wheat Cereal, and Teddy Grahams.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Helen J. Mourino (Rosamilia).  Devoted father of Pamela Jo Schiffner.  Cherished grandfather of Steven and Lindsey Jo.  Also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, in-law's, cousins and dear friends.  Joseph is pre-deceased by his parents Joseph & Antonia Mourino and his sister Inez D'Addario.

A funeral Mass to celebrate Joseph's life will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover, at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021, followed by the Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
