Jean Caputo, 98, of South Orange, passed away on August 1, 2021.

Jean is pre-deceased by her husband Matthew "Mimi" Caputo, her parents Antonio & Maria Marsillo, her brothers Jimmy, Vic, Pete and Tony Marsillo, her sisters Julia Ricci and Amelia Pietropinto.

Jean is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her best friend; her cat baby.

Jean was proud of her Italian-American Heritage and loved sharing stories and jokes with family & friends.  She was often the one laughing the hardest.  Jean truly was a kid at heart.

She loved baking for family and friends and her shopping prowess was legendary.

Jeans passing marks the end of an era in the Marsillo family.  She was very much loved and will be missed by all.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc.,  210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
