Obituary

Jean E. Beyer, 82, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at her home on December 12, 2024.   Jean was a resident of East Hanover for 58 years and a fixture in the community.  She  was married to "The King" Bill Beyer for 33 years before  he  passed away in 1995.

Teaching piano to many of its residents during that span, Jean was also an administrator at St. Rose of Lima for over 20 years.  Jean was an avid fan of the Jersey Shore and the New York Mets.   She also loved to entertain, attend her grandson's baseball games, and shop!  Jean was known for her quick wit, charm, and great conversation.   One of her biggest pleasures was instructing her students on her beloved baby grand.

In the second half of her life, Jean's sister Maureen joined her in her home along with her granddaughter Darien. Together the three of them created their home and a special place that lasted almost three decades. The three women loved playing with their animals and watching Jeopardy!

Devoted mother of William Charles Beyer, his wife Beth, Jeffrey Christopher Beyer and his wife Krista.  Cherished Nana of Charles William Beyer, "Billy", and Shane Patrick Beyer.  Dear sister of William Harris, his wife Pat, Betty Epple, her husband Harry, and Maureen LaPara.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and piano students.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Sunday from 1-4pm.  Funeral on Monday, assembling at the funeral home at 9:30am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in E. Hanover at 10:30am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
