Gaetanina "Ida" Meloro, 82, of East Hanover, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully at her home on November 19, 2020.  Ida attended St. Vincent's Academy in Newark and then graduated from St. Elizabeth's College in Madison.  She worked many years as a teacher at the Lafayette Street School in Newark before retiring.

Beloved sister of Ralph Meloro and his wife Jan.  Loving aunt of Lisa Pieciak, her husband Rich, Ralph Meloro, his wife Ewa, Mark Meloro, Marla Giardino and her husband Philip.  Also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews.  Ida was pre-deceased by her parents Theodore and Anna Meloro.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Tuesday from 3-5pm.  Funeral on Wednesday assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11am.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic & Occupancy Limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family and then immediately exit in order to allow others to come inside the building.  Masks are required and visitors are to practice social distancing whenever possible.
